James Forslund

James is an established builder with over 20 years of construction experience in the Seattle area. James’ initial efforts rapidly evolved into a growing referral-driven high-end hardscape business known as Forslund Woodworking Company. As his business and experience grew, so did his ambitions. Known for his passion for quality and loyalty to customers, James ventured into high-end home remodeling at the request of past customers. In addition to running a successful small business, James has also worked for several respected high-end local builders (including 2-1/2 years as a project manager at Charter Construction) providing his extensive expertise in project management, estimating, and construction operations. Returning to his roots, James started Belvedere Builders to accommodate the many requests for construction services by friends and former customers. James has managed a variety of projects ranging from $5,000 to $2.3 million.

James has an extensive background in a variety of CAD applications and is a skilled draftsman. This experience helps us communicate effectively with design professionals, owners, and vendors about daily issues occurring on jobsites and allows us to identify and solve problems quickly in such a manner that delays and their associated costs can be minimized.

In his free time, James enjoys designing and building furniture, snow-shoeing, helping friends out on their home projects, and spending time with his wife Katie.
